Who Will Make It To The Big Time?

And so we have come to that time of the season when those players near the top of the OCC look at what they need to do to get into division 1.

Division 1

Tigga is looking likely to take his second title. A win in either of the next 2 matches against Legion of Doom and The Green Boy Hackers would guarantee first place.
If the Legion of Doom fail to beat Lee’s Lizards then they will let the 4 teams below them in. Even if they beat the Lizards then a loss to Behold the Thirteen would put them behind the undead on TD difference if the undead also win in MD 8.
Archons of Malice are waiting for the Legion to slip up and will be expecting to win their last 2 matches against Eldodlorna and Orange Overload.
The Elves of Elendil and OrcyPython can also get into second place but need those above them to slip up. The wood elves are playing Kirsols Kilers and Eldodlorna while the Vamps are playing Behold the Thirteen and Kirsols Killers.

My prediction is for Lee’s Lizards and Archons of Malice to be in Tier 1 next season.

Division 2A

This is probably the most straight forward of the divisions.
The Toronto Orkonauts are almost certain to make it. They are 3 points ahead of the grumpy gits and 4 ahead of Occam’s Choppa. The only way they don’t get into division 1 is if they lose both games , Occams Choppa win both and Grumpy gits , lose to the Choppa’s win their other game and turn around a 6 TD difference.
Grumpy Gits will get through as well if they can beat Occam’s Choppa in MD8. If they draw a win in MD9 against the Azure eagles will still guarantee victory. If the Choppas win then the Gits must win in MD9 and hope the Choppas lose.
The Mighty Bulldogs and the Nublettes mathmatically still have a chance. They would need to win their next 2 games and have the Gits and the Choppa’s draw and then lose their last matches. Its not going to happen so 2 orc teams go up from 2A

My prediction is for Toronto Orkonauts and Grumpy Gits to be in Tier 1 next season as I expect the Gits to beat the Choppa’s in md8

Division 2B

E.L.F. have a 4 point lead at the top of the standing so need 1 more win to guarantee promotion. The elves are badly beat up and still need to play Super Vixens and Da Golden Showaz. The wood elves have also taken a couple of casualties and the orcs are bottom so the pro elves have a good chance.
Pain Treatment and Carpe Mortem are tied for second and play each other in MD9 in what could be a promotion decider. Carpe Mortem is playing Da Golden Showaz who are currently at the bottom of the division while Pain Treatment are playing The Musicians Union who are 9th so both will expect to win their next game.
Black Death and Redead Redemption are only 1 point further back and could take advantage if Treatment and Mortem draw their final match.
Bear Hunters , Rotting Rotters and Super Vixens are still in it but would need to win both their games and hope a lot of other results go there way.

No predictions here as I don’t want to jinx my team.

Division 2C

Distorted have a 5 point lead going into MD8 and the only way they they will fail to go up is if they lose the next 2 matches and both Despized and Dead Philosophers win both. However they are playing those 2 teams in the next 2 games.
Despised and the Philosophers have a 3 point lead over 4 other teams.
Despised are playing Distorted and Stroked while the Philosophers are playing Kislev and Distorted.
If Despised can carry on their winning run then it will open the door for the 4 teams below them.
Of those teams the Shanghaid Shanks have the easiest match up as they are playing the 2 teams at the bottom of the standings. Stroked have the best TD difference and are playing Despized so if the Philosophers lose 1 of their matches then Stroked will be promoted with 2 wins.

My prediction is for Distorted and Despized to go into Tier 1 next season. The Orcs should be too tough for Despized and a draw with Stroked will be enough as the undead go down to the Despised.

Division 2D

4 points seperate the top 6 in 2D so it will be a tight finish.
Saviors of Athel Loren and Nagarythe Nightmares are top and their last 2 matches are both against teams outside the top 6 so must be favorites to go up.
3rd to 6th place are playing each other in the last 2 matches and realistically 2 wins will be needed to have a chance at promotion.
Running Goats (3rd) play Rickson by Armbar (5th) and Har Ganneth Corsairs (6th) while Eataine Avangers (4th) play Har Ganneth Corsairs (6th) and Rickson by Armbar (5th)

My prediction is for the Saviors and The Nightmares to go through. The Running Goats should beat Rickson by Armbar as the claw will cut through the orcs armour and this could give the High Elves a chance against a weakened orc team. However unless the top 2 slip up its not going to matter.

If I am right that means in Tier 1 next season there will be

1 Lizard Teams
1 Chaos Teams
3 Orc Teams
2 Dark Elf Teams
1 Wood Elf Team

And 2 other teams
