3C – Can anyone beat the Ellyrion Eagles?
Ellyrion Eagles – High Elf – TV 2210 – Record 4-1-0 – Position 1st
This team is in its 4th season in the OCC and has yet to lose a match. The team has a catcher and a blitzer with AG5 , a ST4 lineman and a mv10 catcher. There are no superstars on the team but there are 7 stars or emerging stars. They still hae to play the Stampede , Riddles , Eagles Wing and Beserkers.
Austin Stampede – Orc – TV 2060 – Record 3-2-0 – Position 2nd
A very good orc team. Only 1 stat increase ( a +AG on a lineman ) but there are only 2 rookies on the team. The rest of the team is well skilled. There are no trolls or goblins just orcs with solid skills. Lots of guard , mighty blow and piling on as you would expect. A hard hitting team. They still have to play Ellyrion , Defenders , Rodents and Blacksouls.
Eagles Wing – Human – TV 1820 (1890) – Record 3-0-2 – Position 3rd
This team has only 1 star a +AG catcher. The ogre has block and is one of 5 emerging stars on the team. Only 4 players with guard , inexperienced throwers and no dedicated fouler it is hard to see how this team is challenging for promotion. They still have to play Swedes , Beserkers , Ellyrion and Rodents
Rodent Extermination – Nurgle – TV 2020 – Record 2-2-1 – Position 4rd
2 AG 4 pests make this team better ball handlers than most nurgle teams. There is also a ST 4 pest as the main blitzer. The rest of the team is fairly standard with no doubles skills.
They still have to play Defenders , Blacksouls , Stampede and Eagles Wing.
Ugly Swedes – Nurgle – TV 2110 – Record 1-3-1 – Position 5th
This nurgle team has an AG5 pest and an AG3 extra arms , sure hands ballcarrier. The warriors are better than those in the Rodents and the beast has block so I think this is the better nurgle team although it is 2 points behind in the standings. They still have to play Eagles Wing , Bastardz , Blacksouls and Defenders
Defenders of Nurgle – Chaos – TV 2130 – Record 2-0-3 – Position 6th
This chaos team has a legendary quarterback that could play for any elf team. AG4 , pass accurate and strong arm. 2 prehensile tails and a disturbing presence also make to harder for the agility teams to get away. They still have to play Rodents , Stampede , Riddles and Swedes.
Riddles of Afterlife – Necro – TV 1830 (1940) – Record 1-2-2 – Position 7th
Fang the superstar werewolf leads the team. Having blodge , tackle , mighty blow , claw , strip ball and frenzy you can’t let him get to your ball carrier. Both flesh golems have blodge so are hard to shift and one wight is developing into a killer. Other than Fang there is not much to worry the opponents. They still have to play Bersekers , Ellyrion , Defenders and Bastardz.
Inglorius Bastardz – Human – TV 1470 (1720) – Record 1-1-3 – Position 8th
With 4 players with AG4 this starts to look like an elf team. With both a catcher and thrower having AG4 then can score quickly when required. The other 2 AG4 players are blitzers so can act as recievers when required. The bastardz have 4 good blitzers but have no ogre so may struggle to get the ball from the bash teams. They still have to play the Blacksouls , Swedes , Beserkers and Riddles
Return of the Blacksouls – Necro – TV 1530 – Record 1-1-3 – Position 9th
This team has been around since season 7. However it looks like they have to replace fairly regularly as there is only 1 player above a veteran. Karlious Bloodmoon is a decent star wight but needs a team around him. This team is going to struggle at this level until it can keep its players undead. They still have to play Bastardz , Rodents , Swedes and Stampede.
Blizzard Bay Beserkers – Human – TV1940 – Record 0-2-3 – Position 10th
This team has a ST4 superstar thrower and a mv 8 superstar blitzer. However the the other 3 blitzers are inexperienced. These blitzers need to use the rest of the season to skill up so the team can get promoted back to tier 3 next season. They still have to play Riddles , Eagles Wing , Bastardz and Ellyrion.
My prediction for 3C is that the Ellyrion Eagles are going to win. Austen Stampede are also going up with Ugly Swedes sneaking into third.
The Blacksouls and the Berserkers are going down. Riddles vs Bastardz in MD9 will determine who else goes down. My money will be on the humans as Riddles are likely to have players MNG.
